Video showing a birds eye view of a firing engine

Saw this video and thought it was pretty cool. It shows the live firing of the inside of cylinder and valve areas using various fuels

Yes very interesting, would also be good to see a 2 stroke motor.

Have a look on YouTube hawkwind I'm pretty sure some dude has done that with a 2stroke

Rhondasoulsoothinghonda 01-10-2018 03:42 PM

That was preeeettttty cool video

Found one of a 2stroke moped motor (not the vid I'm looking for) but good to watch. Problem is I don't know how to link it to here. Kind of computer/phone dumb hahahaha

Shows how inefficient the burn in a flathead motors is.

The alcohol really cleaned the motor quickly. I wonder if it would mess anything else up to run our motors on it for a minute to clean it out.

Funny you say that because I had that exact same thoughts, but I couldn't see a problem using alcohol to give it a quick clean out. How much if the alcohol is unburnt, it just pours in the cylinder as if flood gates were opened hahahaha

It would pour out the exhaust, but there would be so much that it shouldn't be hot. Might ruin a cat or oxygen sensor if the bike was equipped.

My main concern would be getting the muffler packing soaked with the stuff. Once it is able to turn into vapor, would it explode?????

Rhondasoulsoothinghonda 01-10-2018 06:27 PM

And then boom goes the muffler lol. I guess you could take the muffler off for a few minutes to solve that
