Its a shame buell no longer exists. I used to be a huge buell fan. They werent the prettiest bikes but they were bad@ss for sure and i personally liked the the way most of them looked.

Im just curious, what was so bad *** about them? I've ridden both the 900 and the 1200's, and can personally say just how aweful they are. I never rode the newer ones with the Rotax engines instead of Harley engines though. But the older Harley powered ones were a joke. But even the newer ones were still underpowered compared to the rest of the world.

Best v-twin sportbikes in my opinion are in order.
Ducati 1198
Ducati 1098
Aprilia MIlle R
Rc51
Ducati 848
TL1000R ( for some reason, I still like those ugly bikes )
SuperHawk
SV-1000

Also, for a little different sound but good performance, check out Triumph. Their 675 is suppose to be an awesome bike. I've ridden the older Daytona 955 triple, and can say its a pretty good bike. Definately its own sound. Not really anything performance wise to compete with todays bikes, but for an older bike, they were pretty decent.

Had a chance to get a RC51 right before i bought my bike, was about 2 grand more. Then i got my insurance quote and changed my mind, My f4i only runs $27 a month for full coverage @ a deductable of $100 comp and coll

Nope, I'd vote against a VFR. A V-Four has a distinct sound, especially if it is in-corked. Sounds like a mini V-8. It's awesome. Wish I had a sound clip from when I was experimenting putting an undertail exhaust on my 93. Never could get enough clearance for the muffler tho.

Plus 1. I've always liked them, too.

And on the VFR thing, you're right NRWhiteKnight.... very different. Although I agree they sound awesome. I really need to get some better pipes on my magna.

wow its 73$ / month and 700 for theft, 300 comp coll, and like 1 mill liability

tht 73$ gets me basic insurance

although BC, Canada has the highest insurance rates in canada

because off all the brown and asian drivers #$%$#%ing everything up lol

which is why i was unwilling to get a 750cc or bigger cause then the bas ins goes up to 140, i can't imagine what a buell 1125CR would be to insure lol

let alone a hayabusa ... here in BC they go by CC not by hows fast it is lol ... harley are harsh to insure and are slow as @#$%
