The ULTIMATE riding playlist: If motorcycles came with a soundtrack
I'm looking for suggestions to compile a healthy list of songs for the motorcycling mood. The perfect song for this list possesses a combination of characteristics: a catchy melody or driving riff, a beat that harmonizes with the road without overpowering the senses, and most of all: lyrics which seem deliberately intended for motion. This last requirement might be hard to convey exactly but there should probably be something about driving or flying, being on the run, moving from one place to another, speed, mechanics, elements of freedom or liberation, etc.
I'll start with some examples of my own in the hopes that it will help define what I'm after:
Def Leppard - Run Riot
The Urge - It's My Turn to Fly
Coldplay - Speed of Sound
Poison - Ride the Wind
U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name
Kenny Loggins - Dangerzone (cliche, I know.)
Please note: I am NOT asking what YOU like to listen to when you ride! Your favorite grunge or rap groove is simply noise and does NOT fit the bill if you just think the band is awesome but the song does not meet ALL of my requirements.
------------------------------------------------------
Okay, I'm going to say it with colored letters this time: If the theme of your song does not have anything specific to relate with motorcycling, you have FAILed. There is no shortage of songs about being alone, the baddest ***** on the block, or just plain angry at the world, but that is not what I'm looking for -- please show a little creativity with your suggestions.

Well since music is such a subjective conversation and we all have different tastes and feelings when we ride depending on the weather, people around you, your general mood, etc., I will throw in my two cents and take it or leave it. I like what you have so far. My feelings are:
Ramble on- Led Zepplin
Breathe (In The Air)- Pink Floyd
Too Much Time On My Hands- Styx
Freewill- Rush
Crazy Train- Ozzy Osbourne
Highway To Hell- AC/DC
One- Metallica
The Animal I Have Become- Three Days Grace
That's all I have for now, a good mix to offend everyone's listening tastes, leaving out my rap grooves

If you're into Andrew WK:
Andrew WK - Don't Stop Living in the Red (I don't know what he means by "red", but I'm assuming red lined)
Andrew WK - Got To Do It (The hook on the song is "You've Got To Keep Up, You've Got To Keep Going")
I always liked Dragonforce for riding because they're always singing about being righteous and flying dragons and ****... I like to imagine my bike as a fire breathing dragon.
Someone mentioned Rush and I've always been a fan of "Fly by Night".
I dunno, maybe my bike just makes me feel like I'm flying.
