OMFG! im just watching the devistation currently happening in japan and heading around to other parts of the world!

just watching the impact shows the massive power behind it, houses cars tankers just being carried miles into land with no hesitation.

Hope that the casultys are limited and they got enough warning to get away

My sister-in-law and her husband live in Kauai, so they're bracing for the big wave (I wish I could spell 'tsunami'). It is supposed to hit a few minutes after 8:00 CST, in about an hour.

And I'd also like to throw out a prayer to the Honda factories across the pond. May they return to producing awesome machines (and parts) asap

Very close Friend of ours just landed yesterday in Tokyo and was going walkabout

So some concern here to say the least...... hopefully all is well.

Terrible devastation and loss of life.

I just got an update from my sister-in-law, who lives in Kauai. She said the island was hit with 6-7 ft waves but she didn't know what damage was done yet. They live sort of up on a hill and not on the coast, so they are not in any danger.

She did say that some of the waves were big enough that they wrapped around the island and hit it from the backside. If people who live on the eastern side of the Hawaiian Islands think they are safe that's not necessarily the case.
