I'm in the same boat though, I need a new car soon. The Accord is pushing 215K, not that it won't run for another 85, but I need to start looking. I have been eying a Fairlady Z; they are relatively cheap.

I don't think the Tiburon has alot going for it in the aftermarket parts area. The Cobalts aren't the best built cars. I'm partial to the Subaru's, but I like the room and look of the Legacy GTs more then the boxy WRX. I do drive a Subaru SVX. In my opinion it's the best looking car they ever produced. Sadly it doesn't have any aftermarket support. Every mod I've done has had to be custom. I think I've got $15,000 in aftermarket in it. I only paid $8000 for it! Check out the attached pics if you want.

Get a Mitsubishi Lancer, I loved mine until i hit a bridge!!!
They are affordable as well around 6 to 10k

But there are tons of mods for them and if you get one i can sell
you my Evo carbon fiber hood, 18"wheels with new tires and a carbon
fiber evo wing for a good price too. hehe

Cobalt SS is the worst car ever they have no resale value and they fall apart. I worked at a Chevy dealer for a few years and that was the only car everyone hated selling because we knew we wouldn't get a repeat customer.
