Default Track day @ Grand sport speedway

Well I took some video of my track day. Sadly it was only of my very first session so I'm pretty slow this around but I do manage to drag knee twice just before I run off the track LOL

and part 2

Part 2 is where I run off the track :P

I'm always really tense the first time out and it's pretty obvious. Also for those listening yeah im in 2nd gear the entire time practicing engine breaking and body positioning more then anything else

How much did that track day cost and how do you get more info on doing them? I'd love to try that out for fun. I've run GSS before in my miata and that was a hoot. I'd love to do it on the CBR.

Looks like a bunch of win. No oncoming traffic that cuts into your lane, no random piles of sand or hay in the middle of the corners... sigh... one day.

It's a really friendly track, and it's pretty small so you dont end up crashing at 150 or anything like that. I never broke 100 but I got really close a couple of times *never made it out of 2nd gear*

Guess what I'm trying to say is it's a really noob friendly track.

I believe it. Like I said, I've been out there in my miata before drifting and it was great fun so I can only imagine it on a bike. Those turns would be great fun on two wheels. It would be a good start for someone like me to get their feet wet with track riding.

Do they require safety wiring or one piece suits for the basic classes?

Damn! Only 80 bucks?

I'm looking at Jennings here, the only nearby track, and it's $130....

Saving up though... trackdays look like an absolute blast!

What kind of prep did you do before you got out there?

OK we need pics of the camera mount and what kind of camera are you using. These are really important questions, since everyone is enjoying the videos and can hear and see it very well.
