Think its cool not to wear any gear?
I have seen this a few times in the military it shows up in our E-mails as scare tatics. Well it worked for me. I always ride with Jeans , Helmet, Gloves, and one of many Joe rocket jackets I have. I always thought that those over the ankle boots were ok untill I seen this. 24 hours after I seen this for the 1st time I had a pair of riding boots. 48 hours after my wife seen this I had a 2 pcs Joe rocket GPX suit, GPX boots and Speedmaster Gloves All and all 800.00. I wear that when I go on club rides but when I am poking around town I am in a Rocket mesh or textile depending on temp. My GPX boots are always on and I have Textile gloves with all the CF armor. End of story I guess I have alwasy wore gear but this has made me upgrade to the best I could get without taking out a loan.
Dude... people are idiots for not wearing gear. There is no excuse... even for being hot man! They make plenty of jackets and other clothing pieces that are vented. And how could you think that gear is for loosers!?! Those guys obviously haven't seen guys with full body gear... cuz they look freakin awesome! They look like some kind of robotic ninjas. I mean... they look like they can kick some real ***! I wish I had a full leather suit. I think I kinda look plain in my jeans and leather jacket.... and maroon helmet. Never the less... no road rash for me B**CHES!!!!

Coming from work yesterday I pulled up to the light, this guy on a Gixxer 600 had on a tank top, baseball cap, shorts and sneakers. His girl on the back had a t shirt and shorts and sneakers. I just had to say some thing "Hey man you really should wear some gear, hate for you and ya lady to get in accident" his reply "hey man that shyts for losers" I just shook my head, his girl gave me this snotty look. Oh well I tried to pass on some common sense.

That post was awesome. Being in safety myself and just leaving Okinawa a year ago, I know of such things happening. Good post. Hopefully some of our new or non-wise riders take notice and take care.
Great post. Makes me determined to break my bad habits and start wearing the gear all the time. Thanks for the reminder.
