I have a wonderful job, not a thing to worry about...but I made sure that my tats could be covered up and my piercings are pretty common<just the left ear, top n bottom. I see where you're coming from Krash, but everyone has their own outlook on everything, like me, I don't see why people buy streetbikes, stretch the swingarm out chrome the s**t out of it and so on, why would you do that to a bike thats made for the track, etc.? And just because you don't HAVE one (tat)doesn't mean that you'll never get one, I always told myself that I'd never get one (tat) and well, I ended up getting one. Everybody has their likes/dislikes, so be it.

and a "ladder". sorry no pics but maby I'll get the ol' lady to take some tonight...........
Dude if you're talking about that type of ladder then we dont want to see it.

I have my ears streched and my septum done. The septum is easy to hide and since we don't live in the 50's most employers dont care about the ears. Generic story... no tats yet but many to come.

not sure what area of the country your from, or what employers you speak of. but I have news for you, if you apply for anything above a fry boy at McD's or shelf stocker at blockbuster, you arent getting a job with stretched out ears and a bullring in your nose. Whoever told you that employers dont care becuase we are not in the 50's -did he ask you if you wanted fries or onion rings too?

yeah, there was a long one, i couldnt find it either.

for the most part, i think he is trying to say that since we are not in the 50's anymore its not as big of a deal. if you were to have stretched lobes and what not in the 50s, they would have thought we were being invaded by aliens. its a much different society today, and more common practices of self personalization are accepted more widely than they would have been in the 50s. not to say there are not conservatives that dont want it and obviously bigger corps and enterprises have dress codes which visual piercings other than the ears normally fall under.

I had a guy come into my store yesterday (I'm a manager at a retail pharmacy) looking for a sleeve to cover his forearm. He just got a job as a salesman at a Toyota dealership, and he has a tribal piece on his forearm that they're making him cover. I think it's BS.
I have my tongue pierced, and nobody's ever said anything to me about it. Since tattoos and piercings are becoming more mainstream, I don't think we should have to cover them up unless they are potentially offensive. Discrimination!!
BTW, I have 6 tattoos, all coverable by clothing: a split-tailed swallow on my left bicep, "Repent" in olde English font on my right tricep, a fraternity tattoo on my left calf, a Hindi ohm on my upper back, an imperial dragon on my upper back, and 3 dots on my right ankle (homemade LOL).
