Coulda shoulda woulda....when your the champ the means everyone else did worse then you in some way. Hayden had the fastest laps when Rossi was in the race. NOt to mention Rossi had a terrible start. He was already way off the pace. Hayden was flying to the front. He got his act together even after last weeks disaster when even he thought it was over. That seems like a champ to me. Some one that no matter what puts it out there. So he does deserve to be champ.

Oh and recker you would cry if you dropped your bike. At least Hayden had the championship lead to cry about.

 

also lets not forget that hayden was leading the points race with 51 pts over rossi. he was clearly beating him. then it went down hill and the points gap closed but when it was all over hayden came out the victor. they both crashed (hayden and rossi) hayden crashed because of outside influences, rossi crashed because...he made a mistake? oh well hayden fought hard to earn the championship . the last race wouldve been alot better if rossi didnt crash but like NOchknstrips said rossi was already behind and way off pace. for some reason when it came down to it rossi dropped the ball when it mattered the most. rossi is a great rider but this was haydens time for teh championship.

 

The Hayden crash in Portugal was crap, glad to see Rossi bit it this race.

 

Something I forgot to say in my last post...the real sign of a champion is one that can do it 2 years in a row. Can he do it again? I sure hope so.

 

It will be extremely tough to pull of since Rossi will be back with more fight in him then ever trying to regain the title but who knows with the new bikes anything can happen.

 

Couldn't agree more NoChickenStrips - what a bunch of ****- recker. It's simple really, the guy with the most points at the end of the season is the winner. Rossi got a terrible start, couldn't get past Stoner and Vermullen was all over his ***. Besides right after rossi crashed, Nicky was getting ready to pass Troy. It would likely have gone Nicky, Troy, Rossi (at the best, if he could have passed capirossi which he couldn't do all season).

Nicky was a gentleman and a champion even after Dani crashed him out. To say he doesn't deserve it is ludicrous - the guy with the most points is the one that deserves to win - it's called racing.

 

roki, my point exactly. If he is a real champion all the fight in Rossi won't matter. Hayden will still take it home. All we can do is wait for next season and see...

As to the fella saying if rossi woudln't of crashed he would of won......Are you blind or just stupid, you do know hayden crashed out the week before while he was AHEAD in points...

He is a great rider as he is now, but if he pulls it off next year i'll have to give him a lot of credit. I can not wait!
