i love my shoei i had an hjc and there is no compairson the shoei is at least 10 times nicer. I was somewhere on here the dot ratings for all helmets produced on 2005 and the shoei rf 1000 was the only one that got a perfect score on everything

 

hell i just got in a 60 mph accident and smacked my head with my shoei on and no knock out or even a scratch

 

My last two helmets have been Arai... after reading the glowing reports in this thread the next will be a shoei for sure. If I am riding any real distance, I use 30c foam ear plugs which make a world of difference.

 

Won't need plugs w/ the rf1000 unless your doing 140 the whole way lol.
