Default Shot gun first time in my life

Last year, I got riffle permit but I didn't go get one or shot one. My friend go hunting and also have gun dealer license, and he has numerous guns. So we went to country side by the mountain and shot gun today. First he let me use 38 pistol and after that 9 mm. It was so much fun.

This is excellent Yum!!! :-) Congrats. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

I guess I don't need to instruct you to learn the - 4 Rules of Gun Safety - as I'm sure your dealer friend was sure to keep it safe, as well as fun. :-)

Outstanding.

Are you going to continue going to the range & maybe get something of your own?

Ahh, I remember my first shooting experience.

First time I shot a weapon, was an M16 in basic training.

Second weapon system I qualified on, was the GAU 2B/C 7.62mm Minigun from an aerial platform.

Oddly enough, I was more accurate with the minigun.

Kinda hard to miss with a minigun isnt it?

Just keep a few things in mind...
#1 Never point a gun at something you wouldn't mind shooting holes in (loaded or "empty")

#2 Never put your finger on the trigger till the target is already aligned with the sights.
It should float just outside the trigger guard until the moment before you decide to fire.

#3 Every time you pickup a firearm it is loaded, until you personally verify, other-wise.
REGARDLESS of what the person handling it before or handing it off to you has done or assured you. Even after you personally clear the weapon, see rules #1 and #2.

Be safe and have fun, Ern

And if you do ever choose to go hunting know your target, its foreground, and background. My first gun was a 10/22 I still have that thing (looks mighty different now) I love it and plan on giving it to my kid when they get old enough. I go backpacking with it all the time nice and light, a good rifle to learn on and can still challenge and keep up with me.

I don't know too much about gun. but he said he will let me shot riffle next time. I don't know if I ever go hunting. I don't know if I can kill animal, although he was saying we could kill feral cow that is damaging the goat farm around there if the farm owner is there. (needs lots of people to take the meat from big cow)
