Cop issue : file a complaint in writing - that gets things documented and if he (cop)
keeps doing it - becomes an issue for him

Friend : You were right to say it - she's being irresponsible to her dependent !
Me : I'd flat out refuse to ride with a friend doing this to stress the point.
If you have ever witnessed head impacts from not wearing a helmet as I
have , let me tell you - you it's a life changing event !

I find that when people know they are doing something wrong they dont want to be told they are doing it wrong.

As for your friend that is pretty messed up, I would just let it go. I don't know where you guys live or how the cops there but in small towns they hold grudges...

 

I think that cop was being a punk. And I have not heard from her ever since then so whatever..

 

and the only reason I would say to pick you're battles and forget it is because I had experience with that kind of abuse of power before.

This cop had it for a friend of mine for a prior incident. cop pulled him over again when I was in the passengers side of the car. asked for his license and reg. yelled at him because of his license plate cover and told him he was only giving him a warning and let us leave. 5 min later cop pulls us over again this time this cop gives him a ticket for not having his license on him. seems the previous cop coincidentaly forgot to give his license back. we laugh about it now but it wasn't funny then

 

Not everybody that takes the course passes... Some prefer the school of hard knocks.
