Default SCAM!!!

A friend of my recently got a bike and the guy he got it from told us the bike has a clear title to it, but then when we went to register it, it turned out to be salvage. anyone have any suggestion on what my friend and i can do about this?[:@]

Im not sure exactly how buying a bike from an independent dealer works. But it sounds to me like you didnt do your homework very well. I would go with Nauree's suggestion though.

He should have asked to see the title first. He might have to take the guy to court on this one. Did he pay a salvage price or did he pay top dollar?

Where did he buy the motorcycle? Dealership or private seller?

get an attorney and get your money back! its going to cost em.. but ****.. dont let someone take advantage of him like that.. selling a salvaged title bike as a clear title bike is dangerous for the rider and the seller

Screw the attorney.I'd take that s*** back to the guy that sold it to hom and get my money back.

the motorcycle he got was brought from cragistlist [:@]. I did the test ride and everything, everything checked out fined, but it ended up being salvage once my friend tried to registed the bike. no clue on where to start on sueing the guy any advice?
