You may find this interesting then.

H2 Makes it up Escalator on Hell's Revenge. (Video - Dial up beware)

Its a trail in Moab Utah. Most modified trucks can't make it, but in the hands of a good driver, the H2 proves that it is a fairly capable machine off road. A few buddies from the off-road club I am in are going to give it a shot in October, but I don't think my truck will do it. I was impressed.

Granted, 99.9% of H2s never see larger obstacles than a parking lot curb, but don't say the vehicle sucks because the owners do.

For those of you concerned about fuel mileage and safety in vehicles if you use the same thought process in the motorized two-wheel world then you might want to think about trading in your super/sport bike in for a scooter. Scooters get much better fuel mileage, don't go near as fast so they are safer for everyone involved, and they are cheaper to insure. You can’t fault cage drivers who want to have their toys no matter how ridiculous they may look to you. We know better but think of the general public’s perception of those “lunatics†riding wheelies on those Japanese crotch rockets. Many believe they should be illegal.

Oh yea, as far as our troops being in Iraq just for oil, it would be a hell of lot more feasible if our government used the billions of dollars to buy the oil directly from the middle east then spending it on the war to fight terrorism. Halliburton or no Halliburton.

You also have to consider the obligation our government has on taking military action through out the world since our economy affects other economies worldwide.

well, i dont know about the whole "responsibility" to protect the world, but i do agree about the oil part, and the safety issue.

and while i dont have a bike right now, i know lots of "antibike" people, and its garbage.

Personally I'm in the "Who Gives a Flying Rat's ***" category. My little Jeepy will out climb or out mud an H2 -- it'll also pass a couple more gas stations. But ya gotta give 'em the "cool" factor. The Hummer and the H2 look cool as heck and if I were to part with my paid off vehicles (read: no fargin way[8D]) I'd consider one. I've come darn close to buying a new 'stang but like I said, fat chance of me parting with a paid off vehicle

Owwwwwwwwch!!! That's equivalent to a compound fracture on a human. If I knew where it happened I'd take the Jeep and haul 'em out[8D] I kinda think they deserved it though -- dumbass taking a $50K or more vehicle up a rock path .... prolly showing off for his buds. Broken tie rods/axles are a quick buzz kill
