Default be safe out there!

we had a ride on sunday and there was a accident with 2 of our club members. they lowsided and one is okay but the other has 2 broken vertibre in his neck, a broken collar bone, 3 broken ribs, and a punctured lung (had a helmet on but no other gear)... oh yeah and while he was lying there waiting for a ambulance some nice guy in a car pulled up and clapped and said "about time" and sped off.[:@]

today we had 2 people lowside today and one has 16 broken bones in his hand(a dodge durango drove over it)..

in the last 4 days in wisconsin i have heard of 10 bike accidents, 4 ending in deaths... i dont know if something is on the road up here or what but it was a real eye opener and i just wanted to remind people to ride safe and wear gear!!

you can only hope that karma gives him what he deserves for doing that... or you can find out where he lives and "help" karma along
but seriously: WEAR YOUR GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man that pisses me off, F'n jerks. I mean, how mature is that, self centered A'hole. Personaly, I hate bicyclists, they go slooooow on fast roads, back up bridges and so on, but....they have every right to the road as I do and they have their hobbeis like I have mine, so I show them the respect I would give any human, and even though I dislike the inconveineinces, I give them the right of way and I am not an ******* to them, and if one went down, I'd stop to help and offer anything I could. I'm big on things that "are the point of the matter" like the dude clapping. How the hell can you be happy about someone being injured, unless they did something to you or made a personal attack, what the hell, hope that guy gets hit by a big tampon truck or something. What a fu<k-neck.

Sorry about your friends, Bindel. I am curious as to why you guys didn't harass the people w/o all their gear? As far as the ***** that pulled over to clap, I would have sent a couple of guys to tail him...if nothing else it would have scared his pansy ***! Hope everyone is healing up.

wisconsin doesnt havea helmet law but most wear it.. but wee have tried to enforce the gear but all are adults and should be able to make their own decisions...but all that i have heard since then is that it was a eye opener and they are all going to wear gear.... i wont even run to the gas station without gear on so i have learned my lesson!

I don't get it man...I really don't! I've been riding for over 6 years now and have always noticed this; whenever a "squid"(no offense if anyone is offended by that term) loses it stuntin in public and crashes, at least on person pulls over and calls 911 or helps, but when a rider unwillingly crashes due to road conditions, lack of experience ormechanical malfunction not a soul pulls over and if anyone does it's just to see if there's any carnage or to ask "are you ok?" and keep goin regardless of what you answer. Why? I don't get it.
