Saddam gets death sentence...
Well he is sentenced to hang. Apparently, once judgement is passed, it is done within thirty days. No appeal after appeal while he costs the tax payers a million dollars a year. The Middle East doesn't mess around! Maybe we should outsource our death penalties, too.
I seen that this mornin...maybe we will get lucky enuff and have some slightly twisted individual put it on PPV....LOL...i mean after all he is only getting what he deserves. He has never been right.I dont know if anyone has seen the A&E show on Saddaam but he is a few apples short of a bunch..Maybe now we can find Bin Laden and bring the boys and girls home...for awhile..let em fight over that parking lot themselves....sorry...didnt mean to jack the thread... From CCN.COM:
The case will be automatically appealed to the Appellate Chamber of the Iraqi High Tribunal. The defense has 30 days to file any motions.
The appeals process was likely to take three to four weeks once the formal paperwork was submitted, a court official told The Associated Press.
However, there is no limit to how long the appeals process can take.
If the Appellate Chamber upholds the conviction and sentence, Hussein must be executed within 30 days.
30 days??? i think its diffrent in some places becouse i think in cali(idk wher the trail is btw) its takes more then a year to execute people. ther on some sort of wait list.
Not an American trial, so we can't compare it to anything in the states. Do you think he'd have any chance of a fair trail in the US? Wished they would bring him here, but then again, we'd drag it out for years and it'd turn out to be another OJ trail.
