Default Riding to event with valet parking

There is a company holiday party I am going to, and there will be valet parking. How are they likely to react to a motorcycle rolling up? Anybody got experience with this?

I feel nervous enough letting a stranger drive my car, I definitely don't want one parking my bike (especially if it needs to be ridden to a lot off site).

Ask them if you can park it next to the kiosk and tip them to keep an eye on it for you!

I used to park my bike in an attended garage. They had a separate area for bikes, and the attendants wouldn't touch them. They didn't like us because, unlike the people who parked cars there, we didn't have to slip the attendant a couple bucks every time we left the garage.

I'm sure the parking operator's insurance doesn't cover their staff riding patrons' bikes even if one of them knows how, so you'll be asked to park it yourself. Hopefully it won't be too much of a walk back to the party.

I valet park occasionally. Most times I roll up, hand the kid the cash and park right next to the key cabinet.

It's the coat check clerk that gives me a funny look when I hand them my Dainese + lid

Where do you work??? I have a holiday party coming up and and the uniform is dress attire. I dont think i want to go to a company event smelling like exhaust and road......You might not know it but there is a different smell to you when you take a motorcycle over a car/truck... I guess in my "line of work" I have to be professional when they say casual/business attire...Its the one chance to get out of uniform.....You could meet a coworker and catch a ride?????

Of course it does. But I do like seeing the weird look

It's hilarious when I think to myself "That jacket and helmet are worth more than most the coats and hats you've checked all night"

Ask where *you* can park as close to the front as possible.

Good luck w/ your event.

Most definitely tip.

Else your bike becomes the easy chair while you're inside
