Hey man, I wouldn't count yourself out of street riding EVER again. Take the steps slowly back into getting on that bike. I know what its like to love riding, and I am pretty sure you do as well. Hang in there, think short term goals, then you will want to ride again, someday.

Hey Jaynd,
Good to hear that your healing up well. From the sounds of it, you'll be off the crutches in no time. Sorry to hear the bike being a loss, at least the insurance gave you enough to pay it off and then some. Smart move on putting the remaining money away for the time being, you might need it in the coming months from not working.

and as for ''the urge to go super fast'', speed had absolutely no factor in this accident. i was actualy doing only 30mph or so.

thanks everyone, again...for all the kind words. im home now and its just rough physicaly and mentaly. its going to be a long long road to recovery, but im up for the challenge.

Someone said it was a target fixation mistake. Regardless, there's no need to make him dwell on it. Let's just keep showing him the support he needs and help him get on with his life and past the unfortunate circumstances.

Anymore updates? I hope the recovery is going well and that you heal completely. I understand being hesitant to ride on the streets again with the public...at least on the track everybody is supposed to go the same direction. Keep up the hard work in rehab, it will pay off. Ride again ,street or track, when you are ready.
