I don't have any yet, but I'm with the person who said if you don't know what you want, then you aren't ready. It will be on you for the rest of your life and you need to make sure what you really want.

One of my buddies has a solid blackdove on his arm, and i think the wings and tailsort of taper into some tribal lines. Sorry I don't have a pic, but it looks pretty good.

And like the others, if you don't know what you want, then don't get it yet. When I decided I wanted one, it was because I knew I wanted it to be a smallmouth bass, and since I've been looking for about a year for a specific design I like. I'm just saying think hard about it before you go out and get something.

You said something about religion OR your family? This is the one I got for my family. Its the War cry for the "Kennedy" clan back in the day in Scotland. Its backwards in the mirror haha, but it says "Avise La Fin" - Consider the End.

I've got another one (lipstick print) right near my neck on the trap, but thats not for the family lol.

Oh, btw, on the ribs does hurt like hell and this was my first one. My artist put it the best way; "If that's where you want it, pain goes away. take the pain now cuz the tattoo better be in a place that you like"

I generally dislike tattoos, but if you are religious and you practice by going to Church and helping out the congregation by donating your time and moneythen it is a very noble expression of your love for your God.

I personnaly like the looks of good/evil battles, kinda like the duality of man and our inner struggles.

Thanks for all the input guys I appreciate it. Obviously this is a big decision so it won't be anything I rush into. I have thought about smaller tattoos to access my tolerance towards the procedure itself.
