Hey members, I realized last week that it has been nearly 3 years since i quit smoking. I have came a long way since.....now to a point that I don't think about it.
Now I visited Las Vegas last week....what a crazy place. People drink & smoke every where. In public walking down LV BVLD with a bottle in hand is normal.
Now, I did not smoke a single sig, but problem is the next day I woke up...my lungs feels like I been chain smoking...WTH going on....2+ years and I still have this in my systems..

I quit smoking almost 2 months ago, and I'm still waiting for my sinuses to get normal. Drives me nuts some mornings.
From the people I've talked to, especially those that have been quit for many years, there's always going to be certain issues. I'm sure it's just residual from the amount of smokers in Vegas though. Good ole second hand smoke, makes me a little ashamed of being the smoker that I was, especially out in Vegas when I'd chain smoke while sitting at black jack tables.

ya, i mean, it's in the walls of the casino - the floor, all the tables - everything. cig smoke sticks to EVERYTHING.
when i quit about 4 years ago now - i had to wash everything at my g/f's parent's place a few times - then i bleached and sanitized my apartment's washer too.
and since you've been done for so long, i'm sure if you picked one up and smoked it - it'd be virgin lungs all over again.

Hey,
It's really great to know that you have taken your first step on Quit Smoking...Congratulations....
I was a smoker for almost 3 years and I suffered from many health issues. I consulted my doctor and he recommended me to use Nicorette Gum and Nicorette's 12 Week Nicotine Replacement Therapy...
I thought about it for a week and I decided to take up the 12 Week Nicotine Replacement Therapy and hence I started using it...
But the initial week was very difficult for me...because of the craving, but then since i followed the therapy for the next 12 Weeks it so happened that today I am smoke free....
Today with the help of you, I actually got a chance to thank Nicorette and its 12 Week Replacement Therapy.
You can visit their website i.e. https://www.nicorette.in/
I wish you big good-luck ...
Thanks & cheers...

I was a on again off again smoker for quite some time. 90% of the time was "on" lol. Then my girlfriend started having a cig every time I did. Not wanting her to get hooked like I was ended up being enough to get me to quit. Its been well over a year now and sure I have slipped up once or twice after I partied a little hard but for the most part I have been smoke free and feel great about it.

New Way of Quitting Smoking:-
It's simply pressure point therapy, like acupuncture. It's a holistic approach to heal the body. A low level light pulse is directed at points on the face, ears and hands.
How laser therapy works
Low-level laser therapy operates on principles similar to the 5,000 year old ancient Asian healing art of Acupuncture. Acupuncture is known to reduce tension, increase circulation, and enable the body to relax more deeply.
Laser Therapy treatment is a noninvasive method used to balance the energy low between meridians. Laser therapy is considered a non-medical procedure. Treatment with low-level laser helps to promote the release of endorphins in the body. Endorphins are natural chemicals in your body that signal your system to decrease stress and increase energy. Omega uses a low powered (soft) laser to treat nicotine addiction. The laser is no more powerful than a 60-watt light bulb. Energy points related to addiction are identified and treated with a combination of a helium neon laser and electrobiostimulation.
The entire procedure is external, non-invasive, and non-thermal. Laser Therapy is painless. During the laser treatment energy points on your hands, face, and ears are treated. If a client feels the sensation from the low-level laser, they may feel a warm, pulsating and sometimes-tingling feeling. Some clients may only feel a calming sensation from the laser. The low-level laser acts as a tool to assist the client through the initial physical withdrawals from nicotine. The first 72 hours of quitting is considered to be the crucial detoxification period. The laser mimics a similar endorphin release for a period of 3-5 days following treatment, which aids in alleviating stress associated with giving up nicotine. The treatment has been used for over three decades in Europe and Canada.
What to expect after a treatment
The treatment is very relaxing and some people experience a degree of drowsiness.
How the laser is used
The laser is placed on various meridian and auricular points on the body around the ears, nose, hands, and wrists.
Laser safety
Low power laser light is completely safe. It is a bio-stimulation laser not a surgical laser. We are using the latest technology without needles, so it is totally painless. Your procedure will be given by a certified Laser Technician, specifically trained in low power Laser Therapy.
