quick gearing question
ive gone through and i understand why a person would gear a bike +/- and i understand if you +/- what it will do for you but what i dont get is why someone would +1 in the front (more top speed if i assume right) AND +2 in the rear more tourque (right?) it seems like going posteive in both directions would cancel eachother out. also for you stunters why would you move the idle control valve to right below the seat (in between gas tank and your crotch) btw these mods are on a 96 cbr 600 F3 .. thanks for any answers you guys/girls and give me

RE: quick gearing question
about the gearing, Im not sure why anyone would do that, other than to match a chain? doesnt make sense to me either. Its like they are trying to gain speed but also acceleration, but that wont happen. -1 in the front is like 2 or 3 up in the rear, so they will end up with almost what they started out with... hmmm
as for the idle, its for doing slow stunts. It helps for the super slow stuff because they can run the brake more to keep them at balance point instead of being on/off the throttle, this allows you to slow them down more and do things like no handed/no throttle hand tricks... I believe
Hope I helped,
Chris

RE: quick gearing question
yea deffinetly man thanks.. thats exactly what i was thinking. im looking @ a f3 today and the guy made these mods to it and i just couldnt understand his reasoning. it shouldt be that hard to switch back gears to stock and move the idle contro valve back to the normal position?
