I was there twice last year, visiting my Daughter - and riding back to SA across the Nullarbor. :) Doesn't help I know.

Perhaps try the Perth Street Bikes site for a riding buddy. https://www.perthstreetbikes.com/forum/

Best of luck.

Cheers, SB

Brought the bike in Nov 17. It had not turned over since 2006 so I have stripped it almost completely for cleaning and painting.
The story so far
Stripped the cylinder head and cleaned the pistons, head and valves.
Repainted the engine and casings with VHT paint and baked them in my home made hot box. Not happy with the solvent resistance after baking but it is what it is. The VHT Nu-cast iron is a good match for the grey engine casings though so I'm happy about that.
Most of the plastics were damaged so I have purchased an aftermarket set in Repsol colours, not sure how well they will fit but I guess I will find out.
The top of the forks have some surface rust which will have to be cleaned off, I'm then going to cover it with some carbon fibre tube I got off Ebay
The frame and swingarm have been stripped for cleaning so if I get my soda blaster back this weekend thats my next job then it can be painted satin black
I was going to hold off on getting the wheels painted but I just discovered both sets of wheel bearings need replacing so I guess its off to the powder coaters

Aw yeah ya got a big build going on by the sound of it mate. I'm thinking about doing a cam chain and tensioner next winter as mine a bit noisey and hoping to powder coat the wheels when I need new tyres

Do you have a stock or a manual cam chain tensioner on your bike?

Pretty sure it's stock mate but I haven't looked either
