Okay, Haden is starting a fantasy football league, and we have four people signed up. We need a minimum of eight and a maximun of ten. I know that Hayden and I are really excited (as I'm sure the other two are). I used to play sports action (Oregon Lottery)to make the season more fun, but I think this will be twice the fun for sure. We may be able to figure out some *cough cough* "hypothetical" wager if anybody wants to (on the side), and will have a smack talking thread to go with it on here! Come on football fans!!! guys check out ESPN.com and look under Fantasy Football, there is a wealth of inof there, and once i send you the invite, just check around our league site for info too...im not sure how we will do the draft yet....if everyone is available during the day we can do it then, or you can "pre-rank" a list of the players in the order you prefer them. voodoo, can you copy and paste that paragrph i told you about Fantasy Football so i dont have to type it all over again.

seriously....fantasy football is easy....drafting is the only real hard part and dealing with injuries.....honestly....you could draft a team at the beginning and sit and do nothing all year except check in on it to see how you're doing....the crazies...(me...haha) check everyday and rotate players in based on health reports and the like....but the websites usually tell you if you're player is not playing or if he's not good against a particular team....really it's easy...and superfun.....if you're a football fan, this makes you watch the game even more closely as before i used to focus just on my team and other teams only when they came to play...not i watch the entire league closely...

as for the trash talking thread...BRING IT ON!!!!! DAAAAA BEARS IN '07!!!!! (both fantasy and NFL!)

as for the ::cough, cough:: wager.....my buddies and i got a $20 entrance in our other league.....winner take most...

 

I do the whole fantasy golf thing, is it something like that? Sad thing is, I used to play football back in highschool. IDK if it has anything to do with it BUT while I was at BW3's last night, I heard some interesting stuff about the NFL...once again, Favre is threatning to leave, and I can't remember but either the Bronco's or the 49ers, one or the other, is going to be "losing" their star QB. Anywho, let me know if you need another player or whatever.

 

here are they very basics of the game, a draft takes place amongst 8-10 members, you draft individual football players from each team in the NFL. you have to fill your roster of starting players at certain positions, you need 1 QB, 1 Running back, 2 Wide Recievers, a Tight End, a Kicker, and a Defensive TEAM (Bears Team D). you get points each week based on your players performance....like if i have Peyton Manning and he throws for 2 TD's you get 6 points per TD.....you also get points based on how many yards your QB throws for or how may yards your RB runs for, or WR catches for. a Team would look like this

Qb -Peyton Manning
RB-Ladainian Tomlinson
WR-Terrell Ownes
WR-Marin Harrison
TE-Antonio Gates
Defense-Bears
Kicker-whoever.

your team would play heads up against say Ffingers team....whatever team score more points wins for that weekend.
then you have about 5-7 spots of your bench for players that are yours, that you can sub in between weeks, like if a guy gets hurt, or starts performing not as good as youd like.
