I cringe, shudder and feel a sense of incredulous disbelief at not just one stupid action but the series of stupid, unintelligent replies running into 101 pages. I had always thought the gixer thing was just like English/Irish, Aussie/Newzealand type ribbing but after that little display of serious ignorance I have to revise my opinion. It also helps explain my serial dislike of the marque. I've never understood it, now I have insight into my irrational disposition.

Why are idiots so drawn to Gixxers? I actually know some people that call it, "GIGSTER." I guess they don't know any better. lol

 

You know what is really sad about it? The fact that a bunch of ignorant owners made every GRXS owner look sooo damn bad.

I had no clue about this situation before diving in the world of bikes. Even had considered one of those as my first bike. I'm not saying that Suzuki makes bad bikes, I just wouldn't have found this forum and be a sad panda

And still, this thread is nothing comparing to the "how not to" chain maintenance from the same forum.

 

GSX-Rs aren't bad bikes, not as good as Honda's, but not bad. With that said I would never get a USED one unless I knew where it came from since the stunter crowd is so heavily drawn to them

 

Blatant stupidity knows no brand barrier. Suzuki, honda, harley...whatever. These anti one brand or another threads are childish and ignorant.

 

Well put! I make fun of GSXR's but I've owned just as many of them as Hondas.

 

lol I thought that was just a local thing.. I over heard some guys I ride with call them gixsters? Im like uh.. nevermind.
