OMG!!! Novocaine is wearing off...

RE: OMG!!! Novocaine is wearing off...
Maybe it is worse for all four at once, but, I had twowisdom teeth out twice (make sense? not sure if that makes sense to me). I couldn't affordall four at the same time because my insurance does not cover any part of the anesthesia, andonly covers 50% of the surgery. Anyway, I really felt no pain, and just used the vics for recreational purposes. In fact, while I was drooling blood, I was able to figure out how to chew (only one time). Talk about a mess, but I just made sure my "holes" were plugged and did my thing. As far as driving home after, you would have to be a complete a$$hole with a deathwish! Very bad idea.

Ok, day 2
I'm still swollen, but most of the pain is gone (as long as I don't try to eat/talk too much, then it becomes very unconfortable, but not painfull)
Haven't had to take any more percocet (yay!! I hate drugs...)
WARNING>>> GRAPHIC DESCRIPTIONS OF VERY DISGUSTING THINGS TO FOLLOW>>>NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH
Still feel like ****. spent the whole nught choking on my own blood, (and gagging on the damn clots, some of them huge,
My dang stomach hurts like a SOB from swallowing all that blood (your own blood is very hard to digest) and from not having any solid food in almost 24 hours.
At the same time evrything smells/tastes like clotting blood, and I can feel the clots between my cheeks and gums, but I am not allowed to forcefully rinse until tomorow. (the dentist wanted the clots to form and seal the holes left by the teeth to protect the nerve while it heals) this is seriously skeeving me out, but no ammount of gargling/spitting gets rid of the exess clots.
Oh, the bleeding has gone down substantially, but i was worried for a bit last night. both times I got up to pi$$ I almost blacked out when I looked down, (not the normal "I got up too fast" loss of vision, but the slow,/ affects both your vision and hearing, want tohurl, type of onset of shock. fotunately I was done quickly enough, and close enough to the bed that I was able to lie down, and elevate my feet before my vision went completely.
Fun times, fun times. Not as bad as I expected it.... but still IT sucks.

Yeah, wisdom teeth removal is certainly no picnic. When I had mine done I had to have them surgically cut out as x-rays revealed I had 5!!!
I wish that meant I had more wisdom than most, but in reality it just meant I had more pain than most.

i looked like a "chipmunk" for 2 days-before the swelling went down!!!

RE: OMG!!! Novocaine is wearing off...
im 22 and i only have about 1 that is full grown in and it just happens to be cracked in half . it started with a chip then grew from there. my dentiost recommended i have surgery and have all of them taken out at the same time. but after seeing my fiance go through it i want to put it off as long as possible (might not be the best idea but i hate the dentist. just something very wrong about how that drill sounds and the huge needles they stick in your gums!)

Havoc:
If you can afford it get it done now. The younger you are when you get it done, the faster you heal.
Once you reach 25 your bones stop being as flexible,(yes, bones bend a little bit)and it takes WAAAY longer for them to heal from the trauma from having those teeth removed. (and it is harder to remove them as well)
My dentist said I should have had them removed at 18
Yes the sound is HORRIBLE, especially the upper ones, since the sound travels straight through the bone into your skull, (you can hear the "CRACK, CRACK, CRUNCH, RRRIIIP, while the tooth is being broken away from the jaw) but you are nice and drugged up, and it is over quickly
