Does anyone have or know of someone that has an old honda racing bike. I need a unique project seeing my CBR is coming close to completion. I mean even in a box would be cool....the more of a challenge the better. 4 cycle....2 cycle......250cc and up. just not blown up. i am a tool and die machinist so fabricating just about anything is doable.

I dont know anyone at all, i guess i would suggest the usual haunts, ebay, autotrader. That or get a project car, they are never done lol.

 

gotta wonder where they all ended up huh??? I know a guy here that has over 200 vintage bikes in various sheds and barns here but they are all of the restored variety and mostly european from what I have seen...

also some guy in Ohio is supposed to have a **** load...but could never confirm that and lost the only contact I had

 

Well.. maybe that guy could point you in the right direction. :/ They've got a lot of old bikes of the unfinished variety on ebay as well but I dunno if they're race bikes.

Check out www.caferacer.net Theres usually something good for sale there and plenty of ideas, plenty of those guys race in vintage series and plus the rest of the guys always have something unique going on to give some ideas. Other than that I've seen plenty of good stuff going on sale in craiglist.

 

Does it HAVE to be a racebike? because you could take any older bike, and actually have a more drawn out project which= more fun and heart being put into making it complete.

I myself will soon be undertaking a WILD cafe racer project for a friend who wants a cafe bike to ride.

 

I know a guy who has 2 1970's Harley 125 2 strokes, he's trying to get rid of them asap... in MA though.

 

You should look into finding a RC30 or RC45
