Oh my aching back
I've had a bad back for years. I went to the doctor's about a few times in the past 14 years and they just say its strained, take a couple weeks and rest, here's some relaxers. Never helps. I've been taking Motrin on a regular basis for it and I have grown a tolerance to it, but its the only thing that helps. At this point I take 4000mg (20 pills) of motrin once every day or 2 to loosen things up. I dont know how I still have a stomach lining.

Core strength is a major key to helping your back, as others have said. You also may want to get an exercise ball, and lay backwards over it to stretch out those crusty muscles in your back...
. Stretching and core strength=stronger back.

+1.. I had lower back problems until I started training at the gym and strengthening the muscles in my back.

I've always had back problems my whole life, pretty much. Throughout middle/high school, I wrestled, played football, golf, etc...went to college and played golf. Now I have a career in the golf industry. On top of riding every chance that I get, whew wee, it takes its toll on me. I'm on all kinds of medicine. Both of my parents are Dr's so they're always giving me some, ummm, goodies. What alot of people don't know though is that 50% of the time the "pain" that you feel has alot to do with muscle spasms and should take some muscle relaxers, etc.
Anyways, I hope that you get to feeling better!
