Well unfortunately you do. As I said before, I'd post some more pics of the tanker stranded on one of our local surf beaches (during storm). Its attracting thousands every day to have their photo taken with this boat as the back drop. Its been stuck there for well over a week. And considering you could walk out a fair distance into the water (before it got there), then you know its really "beached". The thing being there is actually reshaping the whole beach as the waves come in.

haha thats pretty cool. i bet it's amazing to get out there near it and see its size in comparison to you (any person). i've seen them go by in the water from a distance while fishing, but to be THAT close.......i bet its kinda neat.

I imagine they will wait for high tideand use lots of tugs and probably a dredging machine. All I know for sure is that there will be lots of rigging involved and I'd love to watch!

Yeah, their saying the high tides at the end of the month. But there are bets going that they won't be able to budge it. Especially since where in the middle of the 3rd big storm to hit us in two weeks. 30 foot waves & 70 mph winds forcast ( Heres a map showing the storm forming off the coast) don't think it big, thats New Zealand to the east. Their worried that the ship may start to break up. if it don't stop raining soon, would not be supprised to see it going down my street. Its only about 2 clicks from me.

i watched a thing on one of the discovery channels where these guys go around to beached ships all around the world and take dozers and tugs and other machinery to essentially dig it out and pull it out. i didnt see them use a dredger, but i would be surprised if they did to clear its outward route.

that is pretty crazy though.
