it's an okay deal. i know one thing for sure... that GRAVES full sys ain't cheap!!

 

I just can't believe he put that much money into an R1 and never even rode it... I'd do 1300 miles in two weeks easy.

 

LOL no kidding. Sounds like an alright deal, mabye try to talk him down a little, but if you really want it its probably worth it to you to spend a little more money to get it with all of those mods. Sounds like a nice bike though. Good luck

if ur lookin for a yamaha in particular, ive got a '98 yamaha 600r in good condition.. ill sell it to u for about half of that '04 for $3500.. its completely stock except for the D&D exhaust..

 

Keepem comming i need as much FB as possible. as for the rest of you thanks for the insight, really means alot no seat was as comfortable as my honda CBR F2 1991 with 16000 mi on it...

 

I look at it the same as if buying a car. You will pay slightly more for the preformance features but everything put on the bike only for aesthetics was for his enjoyment and you arent paying for it. Act like you arent into the look of what he did to the bike (even though I know we all are) so you can talk him down. Just tell him you hate the carbon look or something. You are gonna have a tough time bringing him closer to blue book value because I can tell this guy has a huge bike ego but it is overpriced.

Bottom line though is you will get a VERY nice bike if you don't mind spending that much.
