NJ roads suck!
A while ago I hit a GIANT pothole going about 15-20 mph and it made a huge dent on the right wall of my front rim. It didn't bend the rim so I hammered it back and its fine, other then how ****ty it looks and the possibility of the rim cracking causing me to go boom.
Now mabye I wasn't completely not to blame for hitting said pothole, even though it was not visible and I couldn't see it in time even though I was going 10mph below the speed limit, but what just happened I blame 100% on the road.
I was on my way home from school on the highway, doing the speed limit, mindin' my own business. The highway was just repaved all the way up until the two lanes merge into one and then merges into another highway. Well apparently whoever doing the paving decided they didn't need to finish the last 100 yards of the right lane right before the two merge, and they didn't feel the need to put a sign up anywhere to let someone know that the road was about to drop 3 inches.
So I come up to 3 inch drop doing the speed limit and I think to myself "wtf?" Theres a 3 inch "curb" thing between my lane and the left one that I need to get into so I can't switch lanes. At the end of the lane where the highway meets the ramp theres a 3 foot gap that I now need to jump. All im thinking as im about to hit it is please don't blow out my front tire. Right before I hit it I cracked the throttle wide open and luckily made the hit a little less severe. But now theres another big *** dent in my rim. So yea, if you have a F3 front rim (97-98) I'd love to buy it.
Anyone know if theres somewhere I can call or write a letter to in hopes that they would atleast cover the cost of a used front wheel?
I was gonna add a little drawing I made on windows paint program but I dont know how.

RE: NJ roads suck!
The thing that pisses me off the most is that it all could have been avoided if they just took the time to put down ONE sign. You can't see where the road drops until your right on it. And you can't slow down because theres cars right behind you that will not stop in time.

Dude that sucks. Our interstates here suck. You will be going through a turn at 75 or 80 (or whatever speed you set the limit at) and the road is so uneven its like riding a wave through the whole thing. Its a little scary because I don't like bouncing up and down at those speeds especially while leaning in a turn. On the flip side there is this really fun place we call the Airport rd. "fun bump" because if you aren't paying attention (especially at night) you will come to a part of the road that dips down very steep before going up a hill that if you go through too fast its like hitting a ramp and you get airborne lol its so much fun! Engineers make stupid mistakes most of the time but sometimes they turn out fun
