'Hello'
'Yes, is this the Grim Reaper?'
'Uh-huh'
'Cool. My name is Rod Johnson and I have never ridden a bike before. I have played Moto GP on the Xbox though, so I get it. I was going to buy the fastest production bike ever, and was wondering if you would like to come over and give me a few pointers.'
'I'll be over in a moment'
'Thank you, Grim Reaper, you're soswell!'

Tell him to get a Yamaha YSR-50 hehehe. You guys are going to laugh but thats was my first two wheels with a motor. A year later and many car cutt-offs, Bought my band new 1992 CBR 600 F2 at 18 years old. In the first month got a ticket (my bad 120 mph). Went to court to fight it. Took a year for court date so I got to keep my bike for a year then had to get rid of it after the court date. (hard life lesson) They wanted $2000. a year to insure after that. Long story stort so the bike had to go.

Well guys here it is......we picked up the bike saturday.....I rode it around highway and some back roads. As far as takeoff it is close to my 954 up to 150, after 150 it was still pulling pretty hard.......only with the zx-14 it does not power wheelie under full throttle(only in 1st gear). On the twisties it did better than I thought but no way would it keep up with a group of 1ks or 600s.
Also a very comfortable ride......I could ride alot farther on a zx-14 than mine.
So in alot of ways it is safer than my bike or a 600 even......has ABS brakes. Doesnt stand up as easy. None of my friends could convince him to sell it now that it is here he likes it...... so now we are just drilling in his head to stay off the throttle while he is learning. Im hoping for the best just like anyone else who is new to riding.

And no, it doesn't have ABS brakes. And he needs to check with Kawasaki and see if it's subject to the frame crack recall currently under way.
