Foxy 2.3 Completed

In case anyone cares, I spotted this freaking awesome broken down garage/warehouse on my way home from work and decided to snap a few pictures. I like it so much that I'm going to bring the big camera, tripod, lighting and a LOT more time and do a big shoot at the same location soon.

New modifications since last posted pictures:

- Puig Double Bubble Dark Smoke Windscreen
Was on backorder for months, but finally got it and it looks absolutely amazing.

- CBR Emblem on side fairings (from 08 1000RR)
Amazing how much classier they look compared to stickers.

- Black Exhaust from tip to Servo
Turned out MUCH better than I ever anticipated.

- Black Rizoma Turn Signals (clear plastic sprayed black)
Clear plastic was starting to yellow (intense sun here in NM). Sprayed them satin black.

What a desperately hazardous area for rubber tires...look at all that broken glass. You know there's nails and screws multiplying just off camera...

Yeah, there was glass everywhere.......but mainly towards the building. I kept my careful distance and made sure I didn't run anything over I didn't want to. I can't wait to go back and use proper settings and take my time to setup the shots correctly. These pictures are just quick, spur of the moment, racing the sunset to take the pics. Hopefully one the weekend, I'll be able to take much more artistic shots.

 

I'm kind of a reclusive rider, so I don't get up close and personal with late digits CBRs...but today at school I saw a tattered 600RR. Dirty. Unkempt. Repainted, the lot. Then I look at 2.3 up there, whew, congratulations. Looks like an angel came down from heaven to let you ride her.

I figure if I take care of her, she'll take care of me. (especially at Laguna Seca in November) She's getting a whole new pair of shoes specifically for that too.

^^ They stick too far out the back for my liking. It would be an Akrapovic Carbon Fiber if I really wanted one. But since my bike is going to Laguna Seca in November (92 db noise limit......nothing over stock allowed) and then again in April 09, then November 09.....I really don't see me getting one anytime soon........which is the reason it's now sprayed low-gloss black.

 

what kind of paint did u use to paint the exhaust, i have a cheap *** friend with an 08 like jaynd's and that would look sick
