You suppost to ride in the boots. Theyre not ment for walking around in. There only purpose is to protect your feet and ankles.

yeah i never really thought of real riding boots as both show and go. Brutally good at what they DO do, not so much at what they dont.

..sigh.. no boots for me for a while.. you guys are lucky to have such things.

Tangent: i wonder what im going to do when we run out of oil and i cant ride my bike (as i know it) anymore.

im not runnign a marathon in them im just talking about the 100 feet from my bike to my desk, where 3-4 coworkers are staring at me like WTF is that loud noise lol. i even scare the cat and my 2 year old away. anyways, its no big deal, and i LOVE riding in the boots, they are great.

When I got mine they squeaked a little bit so I put the silicone lube on them and now one is silent as ever but the other ones is louder than before. My buddies at work knew exactly when I came into work everday. I just put up wiht it now since i don't walk very far in them.

I got the same boots Hayden, mine also make lots of noise, like skiing boots kind of...they came with that little bottle of silicone, right? Use it on the areas that slide, those plastic "straps" on the back of the boots. I think as you lube them, and as they break-in, they won't be as bad.

At first I found it hard to upshift with the boots on, but as they break in they are getting better and easier to ride in...took some getting used to.

People have commented to me on why do your boots make so much noise, and I say, cause if I crash at least I know I'll be able to walk from the ankle down. lol
