Is that a Warmoth? I see the Fender headstock but no logo so just wondering if you put it together using Warmoth parts. I'm not much of a Strat guy but that is a very nice finish. I really like the ebony on the maple neck. The swirls adds a nice touch. How is the LSR nut working out? I got the Earvana nut on my LTD Viper.

Diz...I would go with a squire strat. You can get an entire set up with amp, strap, etc for like $200 (it's called Strat Pack). I am also not very impressed with Ibanez, but get what feels good to you!

Kid...some of the best blues players play strat, my brother: Stevie Ray, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, etc. I think it depends ALOT on what amp you play it through, though. I think a Strat makes the best "clean blues" tone in the world. And yes, these pickup are GREAT!!!

OldFatGuy...my wife recorded me at New Years. I'll just have to figure out how to get it into my computer, and host it. I'll try my best!

Patas...yes, it is a Warmoth neck and body. I have a problem with breaking strings, and I hope the roller nut will help to alleviate that. I haven't had it longenough to know if it makes a big difference, yet.

I'll post up some pics of my guitars. I've been playing for around 12 years now.

Thats a nice guitar, I play mostly acoustic stuff anymore, but i do have an old stratocaster laying around in the laundry room. I wish i knew how to play an electric lead type stuff, i mostly just mess around with chords and picking. Def post a vid up of ur new axe! I'll bet it sounds sweet!
