BTW if you haven't found this site yet your welcome...

I mostly make trips up to ride the Womble Trail in Mt Ida. I've done the Ouachita Challenge 60+ miler race several times, and I've gone up to Mountain Home for the Syllamo's Revenge ride a few times.

Lookin sick Zach.. thats cool you have a painter buddy that can do that so quick for you..

This is giving me bad ideas... Buy a new frame and start fresh like you?? lol

I bet the components now are so much better then then they were four years ago (when I rode)..

Yea since I posted that Ive been looking at the new bikes.

They really have improved alot. My favorite bike company, Kona, keeps using their same classic frame design but refining it or slightly tweaking it every year.
I dont really like the color of it though..

Their best down hill bike is now $6400

And that took you five hours jeeze I wonder how long it took him to paint that prob less time then that lol

yea it sucked bc i had to do all the soldering with the parts in the case, bc if you remove them, then try to solder them, there isnt enough room to put them all back in without messing something up...

and oh no lol...

apparently specialized pc's their frames with

3 primer coat
1 base coat
1 main coat
then clear coat

and he had to sand it all off bc of the lightness of the aluminum lol

my gear selectors/brakes/bottom bearing have been sitting i pb blaster here for two days now...

gonna get them out and cleaned up tonight, as well as repack the bb with grease, and re attach the forks to the frame, and grease all of those bearings real well

plan for tomorrow is to buy all new stainless hardware for the whole bike, prime it all, and paint it all red to match the forks...

hopefully my other friend will have my neck/seat post/crank done tomorrow, so i can get the bike to 95% completion, as my seat/grips/cassette/derailleur should be arriving today
