HAHA now thats sick...

Honestly in my 'prime' freeriding years... I (most likely) would hit this jump.
I know its alot bigger in person but I can tell from the pic its a nicely built jump, and more importantly, landing.

I used to ride a 2004 Kona Stinky.

The craziest thing about that picture is hes not wearing shin protection!

Since you freeride, you have probably heard of Josh Bender. If not, you should watch this vid. If anything, skip to :40 seconds.
I used to look upto this guy lol, but would not even think about hitting any of the drops hes done. (seriously just watch it)

+1 I crashed when I had a Ninja 250, and Ive had a highside on my current bike...

Both didnt hurt nearly as much as free ride mountain biking crashes!

Trees, cliffs, and above all (I think) freeride pedals are not forgiving on bare skin lol

frame weights 5 lbs lol

forks being prepped for paint

brakes/gear selectors/ rear and front brakes all being soaked with pb blaster, to help break up the grime of sitting for 3 years... will probably wash them off and dry them tonight... and use some sand paper on the small rust areas

I've got some spare 26" tires floating around if you need em. I ride/race XC (cross country) - I ride a full-suspension Turner Flux as my geared trail bike, and the 29'er singlespeed depending on the trail and how I'm feeling. I honestly like riding singlespeed for fast trails, but when I get up in Arkansas where it's not so flat, I like having gears and travel underneath me.

i wont only be using it for trail riding, but to ride around town with some friends as well, gears come in handy

i love this video...

http://www.pinkbike.com/video/211430/

maybe in a few months, i can see myself building on of these bikes...

I do wonder though, do these guys run gyro systems, or just longer cables? alot of whips going on, but it doesnt seem like they have longer cables?

usually just longer cables... they do make gyros for hydrolic brakes but they are pretty pricey and I hear they dont work well..
