Sorry to hear that. My prayers to you, your friend and his family.
I lost my best friend in '96 to a bike accident. I was there when it happened and it replays clearly in my mind to this day. I can relate and it does get better, so keep your head up!

Matt I know of no words that can ease the suffering your adoring at the moment if you were as close to him as I suspect you were. I would however like to provoke you into a new mindset. Let this be a tragic but hard lesson learned. No. I am not talking about one on motorcycle safety. There may be a lesson in that area to be learned. But I prefer never to second-guess some one who is not here to explain their own actions. Even though you may not be far from the actual truth of what had occurred. The lesson, I'm referring to is to live your life as if there was no tomorrow. Let me better explain, I'm not saying act as if you have nothing to lose or to be reckless. What I'm saying is, leave nothing unfinished. When you start something finish it, make sure all of your affairs are kept in order at all times. Never leave anyone wondering where they stand with you for good or bad . Don't let there be days where someone looks back if something did happen to you and wonder if you were still upset with them or if you cared, if there is someone you do care about whether it be your father, your mother, siblings, best friend, girlfriend or wife let them know where they stand each and every time you see them expressing your feelings. It truly Doesn't make you less or more of a man. It just keeps things in a proper perspective. Time and levelheaded is the only thing that will cure what you're going through right now, but if I can be of any service at all to you, feel free to contact me. My hatch is always open.

i just saw this post Matt, and im sorry to hear the news. as everyone has already said.....its hard to find the words to say to comfort you. just think about the great times you had w/ him, know that he probably had the biggest grin on his face as he took possibly his favorite turn, he passed doing something he enjoyed to the fullest. its horrible, but he was doing something he enjoyed.
keep your head up, and as said already...dont be afraid, or feel lame to post up.....sometimes it helps to just vent and get it out of your mind and onto paper, or in this case....a forum of friends and fellow riders. everyone's here for ya, all the time.
be safe brother, keep your head up.
