My 929 came up with a rod knock..where to find another engine???

I just found out that wheelies cause oil starvation, and although i don't do 'em, the previous owner lived for wheelies. Now I've got a bad rod knock and really just want to find a used engine to throw in the bike. Does anyone know who to talk to or who might have one? I'm also watching ebay.

Thanks, Phillip

Watch Craigslist as well. It's well known amongst the REAL stunting and honda communities that the 900's are known for starving on oil... and so are GSXR's. 900 series Honda's can be run 1 quart extra to solve the problem... GSXR's need a pickup relocator.

Good luck finding one!

Well wildcat. I hope this helps. I have done business with these guys in the past and have found them
very knowledgeable and forthcoming with information as well as always having. What was needed in stock. Here is a link to their website they claim to be the world's largest salvage yard. With 110,000 ft.² of indoor parts facility, as well as a standard outdoor salvage yard with a million plus parts in inventory

Just so you know.. You can put a 954 motor in there as well, if you come across one first .. You will need a few other things from the 954 as well, but not much..Ill look for a link to the swap and comeback here.

EDIT: heres the link to the (you dont HAVE to do the swingarm)
