Default Motorola Droid

I just got my new Droid yesterday and normally I am not all that impressed by phones but I must say that this phone is absolutely amazing. I have played with many of iPhones and personally I think the new Droid blows the iPhone out of the water. Both the touch screen and qwerty keyboard works very well. The camera on it works awesome. The phone fits very well in my hand, better than the iPhone. The Google turn by turn navigation works wonders, I am really impressed by this feature. It is really cool that you can sync your phone with your gmail account so you'll never lose your contacts. When you plug it into the docking station it acts as an alarm clock and it will show the temp outside and it if sunny the background will show a sun, cloudy it will be cloudy, ect. The car windshield holder makes the phone act as every other GPS system you see in cars today. As I just got this phone I am still playing with it and finding out really cool things about it. I highly recommend this phone to everyone.

Do you mean a monthly fee just for the phone itself and not for the service? Then no there is no monthly fee.

Sounds cool! How thick is the phone? Is it Blackberry thick, iPhone thick, RAZR thick, etc....

Think they mean the data plan charge. I have a Blackberry Storm (will get the Storm 2 next month). VZ requires a data plan with all 'berries. Tho I think VZ made it unavoidable with all but their dumbest dumbphones. Just checked: Droid requires an 'email' plan

Droid looks good. Might recommend it to my GF (she's on the iPhone). That way she can take advantage of my discount from Comcast (20% off monthly plan).

Yeah they do force you to use there data plan. VZ calls it their PDA and smartphone plan. I would get your GF this phone and hopefully save some $$ with your discount

The cost of the plan will depend on how many minutes you need and if you want text messaging. My plan is $79.99 plus $5 for 250 text message. Then I get a 15% discount through work. I am sure there are a lot of different variations of prices. I would go onto Verizon's website or go into a store and have a CSR help you find out what is best for you. I know it is a lot of money for a phone plan but I must admit I think its worth every penny.
