yeah non-native english speaking significant other will help a lot on learning language.

Somehow I feel we are not having the effect of water dragon here. We are being cheated

 

My girl was born here, so she's native English with a lot of Cantonese and a few words of Vietnamese. Her parents and other relatives obviously speak it a lot better than she does.

Funny story - my girl just texted me and said that a white customer (she works at a Chinese restaurant - go figure!) just said Happy New Year in Chinese to her, but they didn't quite say it right. So when my girl says tells them they were close and tries to correct them, they gave her a weird look and told her SHE was wrong and they were right. Hahaha. People are whack.
