love at first sight
ok. heres the deal. there was a point in every motorcyclist's life when bikes didn't matter. then you saw it. the motorcycle that turned your life in a new direction. everybody has one. maybe it was a parent's bike? or another family member's? maybe it was a bike that you saw in a magazine or in a movie? whatever the case, what bike opened the floodgates for you???
mine was when i was 8 years old. i always knew that my uncle rode a motorcycle but had no idea what it was or even what color it was. till he took me for a ride. WOW. that old piece of crap 1975 harley sportster 1000 was the greatest thing ever. bright red and loud as sin. i loved it. he still has it (its now been restored and painted yellow) but if he ever sells it, i will be the first in line.

The Bike that did it for me was my fathers bike a 1976 BMW r90s. I rode on the back of this bike starting at the age of 5. I now have one fully restored to showroom quality as a reminder of those good old days. Dad was always pushing me to ride as a youngster.

My cusions suzuki Sv650 was the bike that made me want to ride he looked like he had so much fun with it. I really wanted to join him on a ride so I bought one for this coming season. Funny thing is now he sold his bike so he could get a 3000gt twin turbo.... Oh well.

I know this sounds corny, but I'm riding the bike that turned my on to riding. My uncle had harleys, my cousins had dirt bikes, I even had a honda 50 when I was very young. But I still wasn't very interested. I got older and seen the sport bikes, and always thought Ninja was a dumb name for a bike. But when I saw a cbr 929 it was all over.

I used to ride around on the back of my uncle's bike when I was 5 or six. I was a passenger on many of my friend's jaunts back in '87 when he had a brand new Ninja 750. Not until I was 26 and laid eyes on a GSXR400RR did I get the true bug to ride. The rest, as they say, is history.... Had a bike exactly like the attached photo...same color scheme but without the Telefonica graphics. I miss it sometimes....
