Well i wasnt going to say it but i do have to agree with it not being a great idea. I love my music too but its not easy to drive my bike as well as every damn car around me at the same time. Know what i mean?

when i wear my shuffle i hang it off my neck and run the wires up then inside of my jacket into my helmet. also if you get speakers mounted inside your helmet i'm pretty sure its not illegal since you dont actualy have headphones in your ears. except for maybe in cali.. everything is illegal in cali. also listing to music when you ride is fine. first your not going to hear a car behind you over your engine and wind noise anyway. second you dont have to turn it up so loud that you cant hear anything. and three it makes riding that much more comfortable and enjoyable, and being comfortable is safe.

My brother slipped some headphones into little slots that were already inside of the padding in the helmet. I looked at mine and it has the same thing, They are bot HJC helmets.

Anyways he rewired the headphones with a female jack instead of a male and cut the wires short. Then he drilled a hole in the back of the helmet and siliconed the female end into place completely flush with the helmet. Then he made a seperate wire with two male ends to go inside the cd player and the female end on the headphones. Looks pretty good and sounds great. Real professional looking.

I want to do the same thing with mine but my helmet is brand spankin new and I dont really want to mess it up.
Probably will end up doing it anyways.

Great idea.....except i'm not too sure about the whole "drilling into your helmet thing"...seems to me if droppin it can supposedly ruin it, drilling a hole in it might be....um, risky? lol

+1 for innovation though.

Drilling or removing pads doesnt seem to be very safe.

+1 with the innovation
