I can tell you shimming the valves on a yami is a pits...

The hole just needs some lube and it will work just fine. It's probably since its been sitting around so long

I'd go back to the manual and check the torque setting. Not everyone can tell how hard they should be twisting before she'll fire up! Motorcycles are far more technical than cars after all. It's rocket science.

that was the first thing i have learned about the bikes, how to start them properly. and also how to push start them since my kick start fell off of my little 125 and my start button didnt work due to removing the battery and all the lights. lol
