Different climates and riding styles mean sometimes different gloves are necessary. Down here in Florida, I've got both wrist length mesh (Joe Rocket Phoenix) for warmer weather, and gauntlet length leather (Teknic Chicane) for cooler weather. I'm probably going to upgrade to the NEW Phoenix gloves for summer (better fit, more secure closure) and the Icon Tuscadero for winter.

My boyfriend has the same gloves I have, and tends to wear the leather more than anything (he rides a bit more aggressively than I do, so he likes the added protection of leather and a studded palm).

I love my 2006 AlphineStar SP-2. Comfortable even when in the 80s.

it know it is not a big brand but i kind of like the olympia gloves there comfortable and not too thick and bulky so that you cant move your hands but thick enoughf to keep you hands from getting ripped up in a crash they make the up the arm and regular hand style witch is what i perfer i just hate feeling all constricted i know the others are safer and so on but comfort is aslo as important

I love my Alpinestar SP-2's as well, never too hot or cold, they just slip over my jacket cuffs which is great so I dont get wind rushing up my sleeves and puffing me up like a marshmallow. Pricy though at around 65-80 bucks

Owned a few pair of Olympia gloves and they fell apart after 3 months on both pairs. No track at all, just the occasional street. They were great brand new but didn't last too long.
