Default Leather gear and rain

What waterproofing stuff do you use? I dont want my boots or gloves to wear faster because of them getting wet.

Thanks.

^^^ Really an unnecessary picture. ^^^

I wouldn't treat it with anything, I ride all the time rain/snow with my leather. Have for 3 years with this current jacket and it shows minimal signs of wear. Don't sweat it, just ride.

I clean my leathers with saddle soap. Other than not nadda and I've had one Jacket going on 6 years and the other 4 years and both still look great. Same with my boots and gloves but I tend to go thru gloves every couple of years.

I use mineral oil an all my hiking boots and leather.
The problem with riding gear is they put a layer of polyurethane on it and it won't soak up any oils or wax. When I buy my riding jackets I look for naked leather and water proof it with the mineral oil. The polyurethane makes the leather even, stiffer, shinny and some what water proof but also seals it.
