LAST Day Where From Here
HC,
You will be successful at anything you do. It is in your DNA. You may not re-enlist, but you will always be a marine through and through, and hold yourself to that very high standard. Good luck to you on your future endeavors, bro.

I haven't talked very much about the incident itself. But will share this with you immediately after it happened. We were engaged by the insurgents I located a weapon and lend a hand. We were backed up by a couple of super cobras, almost immediately. I received medical care, at that time, and then continue on to the camp in which we were in route to at that point I was medevac. I lost a good friend that day, here is the link to the photos here at the forum

Hey everyone, I wanted to let you know that HC had to go in and have the surgery sooner than we all had anticipated. His doctors thought it best to have it done now. HC came through the surgery, but with some complications. I'll post later and give you some more details and let you know how he is doing. Things are just crazy right now and we aren't at home. Please keep him in your thoughts. Thanks
After being repeatedly asked, and having a moderators asked me to give a update. I decided I would use this thread instead of the one on the brain surgery itself. It would give those who don't know me a little bit more background information. Instead of just updating the brain surgery thread after my surgery for an acousticneuroma I have been making steady and expected progress at least. That is what I'm told from the doctor and the physical therapists, as well as the speech therapist have lost all hearing in my left ear . I should Make a full recovery, other than the hearing, of course. I have regained full range of motion in my left arm, which was suffering from major paralysis after the surgery had the same problem with the leg. I'm still dragging it a little bit, but I am up walking on my own. I have been preached at, not to restart a 3/2 split workout for at least three more months and to start off very slow. So, that is where we're at. So I am on my way to recovery and would like to thank all of you for your support
So glad to see your progress. I know it probably seems like it has been an eternity for you, but I think you have moved forward rather fast. What I have learned about you from following your post's since I have been a member is that you will always move forward. I know soon, you will be looking back at this and putting another knotch on your belt for overcoming another obstacle.
My prayers go out to you and your family!

I am new on these forums and dont know anyone, but I hope a speedy recovery for you. I cant imagine what you marines have been in. I have been deployed 3 times but being an AF mechanic I was lucky to not be at a base where a threat was low. I always hope the other service members come home save. Good luck.
