^^ Your telling me. I wanted to say "here's a flashdrive, just copy them onto it." when I was at the track. I should have. I bet there's some sort of retarded encoding on the pics he sends me so I can't "reproduce" them even though I paid out my *** for them.

Anyway, I recommend the class and Laguna Seca to anyone even remotely interested in track days. It's so much more fun when you actually have track coaches riding with you, correcting you as you ride the track, working on drills. Makes you feel like your improving, versus being at an open track day wondering if you're even doing it right to begin with.

Did you ever feel intimidated at all? Like, if you didn't make the right adjustments, your coach would think you were an ***? I would think it would be a little overwhelming to ride that track...well maybe not you, because you did well. I think I would feel very nervous...at least to begin with. Especially around the corkscrew!!!

I was intimidated from the track itself. I've always wanted ride/drive on this track since I was a little kid playing Gran Turismo on the Playstation 1. So just the fact that I was actually on the track was intimidating enough. And trust me, I was nervous to the point where I was shaking at first. Climbing onto a bike I've never ridden, on a track as notorious as this, during a school from which I had no idea what to expect. But the butterflies and nervousness went away when I learned of the relaxed nature of Keith Code and his school. He is a real cool guy to talk to, and makes you feel like you can win a GP race just by talking and listening to him. So he helped relieve the tension of the class, and put the nervousness to rest.

And the track coaches are awesome people. They are only there to support you and help you out. They watch you practice the drills, if you do them wrong, they'll get in front of you and it's a game of follow the leader. You follow them through a couple of corners to get the drill right, then they follow you for a couple of corners more to make sure you did them right. At the end of the session, the riding coach gets with you individually and goes over what you did right/wrong.

It's a really ingenious system they have going there. Works great. Can't wait to go back in April for my level II and III.

Oh, and the corkscrew is menacing at first, but as you gradually gain skill throughout the day, and quicken the pace through it each time, it just becomes another corner. I actually looked forward to it every time. It's so insane it makes you chuckle in your helmet as you ride through it.
