Kinda want to climb a mountain & shout
I dropped my computer about a month ago, normally this isnt a problem with it being a thinkpad but, the screen cracked and its pretty much unusable. It costs about $150 for a new screen and I know how to replace it so I was going to call Lenovo to order a new screen. Well they really didnt want to send me a new screen for a computer that is, now, 3 years old and they arnt making too many parts for it anymore. After a bit of begging, pleading and being transferred from manager to supervisor to manager supervisor they finally agreed to send me a screen. They wernt going to charge me for shipping either so I was felling pretty victorious.
Well the package showed up today and when I cracked oped the packing material I did not find the screen I ordered. BUT a brand new laptop that was not only the updated version of mine but the thinner, lighter and way more expensive version. Now I don't know if I should be happy about getting a new $2k laptop for $150 or upset that I have to move all my data from one to the other. Either way I feel like I made out like a bandit. I had to tell someone because there isnt a mountain thats tall enough around me
I think I will still fix my broken laptop and either give it or this one to my gf, see which one she wants because this one is newer but that one can eat most desktops alive.

Oh dont get me wrong Im happy about it and it was really easy to swap over my data. It was just unexpected..... and a year after my warranty expired. See now that's what creates a life customer right there. I was more bummed that I had changed a bunch and I had to do it again, but work on the bike has been slow so tomorrow will be the birth of GLaDOS v3.0! and maybe if I can find a new screen the reberth of GLaDOS v1.2.
