So sorry to hear that! Especially since I went down not too long ago and truly know what it feels like (although I went nowhere near 50 mph). Now that you are fine you get to worry about the cost to repair, which also sucks!

As long as the expensive stuff is alright it shouldn't be too bad i.e.; frame, forks and engine. Rims can sometimes be pricey and so can plastics but at least you can get a chinese fairing kit for very little. Good luck and let's see a rebuild thread!

wow, i'm glad you were able to come home. that could have been a lot worse. i'm glad you were wearing all of your gear. sorry to see the bike - but you can fix that. don't be afraid to jump back on the bike once you get it fixed!

I guess it doesn't look super bad. What kind of injuries did you sustain?

Lucky you that parts in the US (ebay) etc. are dirt cheap.

my left leg is bruised up pretty bad and hard to move. left ribs also hurt, and some rash on my left hip ( blue jeans ) should of had on my riding pants but I had only planned a 1 mile trip to the gas station for cigs. Could have been way way worse for as far as I slid down the pavement.
