Just wanna say thanks
Hey all. I just want to thank everybody here for all the help. Whether it be my question or someone elses that I learned from.
I've been really down lately, don't really wanna go in depth and bore yall with the details, but I have been pretty down. I wanna say, I'm so grateful for this sport and everything it's done for me. No matter how down I am, I always know I can hop on my baby and just ride. She knows how to heal me, even if for just a second. As soon as I throw my leg over, my pain goes away and for that moment, everything is ok, I'm free. And when I'm riding and I see other riders, even just that little wave means SO much to me I can't even explain it. Whether its another CBR or a harley, doesn't matter. I'm so thankful for every single one of you and every other rider. It really is like a family. I can walk up to any rider and have a conversation about anything. It's truly amazing this sport. I'm so glad I started riding because I honestly feel like I'm in heaven every time I'm on my bike. I really feel like I've found what my heart has been missing. Once again, thank you. No matter how down I am, my baby brings me back to life in that moment. And NONE of that happiness could happen without all of you guys, the riding family. This may sound pointless, but I just wanted to share my thoughts and feelings with y'all and let y'all know I truly appreciate everything, whether you've answered a quesation or not or if you jsut simply wave to me on the road. I take it all to heart and I feel blessed to share something so great only us riders can understand. Thank you. |
The longer you stay here the more like "family" the guys and girls become ! :)
It's good that you are able to "escape" from whatever it is that ails you - I feel very much the same - the pressures of everyday stuff just go away when I feel the bike growl into life. You may enjoy this............ ROADRUNNER The light has come, I scan the sky The weather clear, the tarmac dry The road has called, and we must go To places only we will know…. With rush of wind and angry growl A somewhat predatory howl The snick of gears, and brutal drive We face the road, and come alive A gentle bend, a lengthy sweep The tyres are good, the grooves are deep, She flies and sings the siren song For here is where we both belong. For on the edge is where we thrive And here alone we can despise The mindless moron changing lanes Who never fell and felt the pain. The taxis blunder, bringing death And cars which struggle so for breath To climb the hills we fly with ease Where we are free and find release. They cannot know who do not ride The overwhelming sense of pride Which comes to those who live so free Who love to run, like she and me. |
That poem was amazing. Seriously got chills down my arms reading it, no joke! Do you know who wrote that? Did you>?
|
That poem is the best way I have ever seen riding described.

I wrote it about 4 years ago.
Hope it helped And thanks |
